PURPOSE:To enable a heat exchanger to be inserted and removed from any direction, to eliminate limitation of installation of a body, and to enable easy formation of a bypass passage by a method wherein a bypass passage running around a heat exchanger situated in juxtaposition with an exhaust passage or a feed passage and opened and closed by a damper is situated to the one or both of maintenance covers. CONSTITUTION:A first maintenance cover with which a hole 34 of a side plate is covered is removably mounted to a side plate 33, having a hole 34, with which an opening 32 for insertion and removal formed in a side wall in a direction which a heat exchanger 10 is inserted and removed is covered, by means of a screw 36. A bypass passage 38 has an opening 39 and is positioned in juxtaposition with an exhaust passage 6 running from a suction port 2 on the indoor side to a discharge port 5 on the outdoor side, and runs around the heat exchanger 10. The bypass passage and a damper 14 to open and close the opening 39 are situated to a second maintenance cover formed in a manner to be capable of being exchanged with a side plate 33 with which the other of the opening 32 for insertion and removal is covered. When the structure of a building is located in an insertion and removal direction and insertion and removal of the heat exchanger 10 are impracticable, by exchanging the side plate 33, the first and second maintenance covers 35 and 37, a direction is changed and insertion and removal of the heat exchanger are practicable. |
