<p>Method and apparatus for joining an end of a first web to an end of a second web by, for example, double-sided adhesive tape, glue or the like, include locking the end of the first web at a fixed position by first locking apparatus and locking, i.e. holding, the end of the second web by second holding and moving apparatus. The held end of the second web is moved by the second apparatus into pressure contact with the end of the first web whereby the ends of the respective webs are joined to each other by adhesive tape, glue or the like.</p> |
