<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from bending in its widthwise direction and to stabilize a traveling speed of the tape by supporting the wide magnetic tape all over the width with a tape traveling surface of a tape guide and giving tension to the tape accordingly. CONSTITUTION:The subject sound recording and reproducing device is provided with a tape guide 48, whereas a tape traveling surface 49 for supporting the tape 26 all over its width along one part of the route of the magnetic tape 26 to be bent by a magnetic head 2, an aperture 53 positioned at this surface 49 along a moving locus of the head 2 and one pair of right and left guide parts 50 formed on both sides of the surface for guiding both edges of the tape 26 are then provided. The traveling surface 49 is gradually inclined to the side of the head 2 in accordance with the direction of the tape 26 from its right edge to left edge, and the surface 49 is formed with plural protrusion stripes 51 which are gradually inclined to the guide part 50 on the left side in accordance with the traveling direction of the tape 26, and then a side line part 52 that is orthogonal to the side edge of the tape 26 is formed on an inner surface of each guide part 50. Consequently, the tape 26 is supported over the whole width by the protrusion stripes 51 to be given tension, so as to stabilize the traveling speed of the tape 26.</p> |
