PURPOSE:To enhance ink absorptivity and dye coloring properties to obtain a high-quality and high resolving power image, by a method wherein a Stockigt sizing degree is specified and a pigment contains aluminum oxide particles and a silicon-containing pigment having a specific surface area in a material to be recorded with a specific amount of a coated layer. CONSTITUTION:A coated layer made of a pigment and a binder is necessarily provided on a base paper in the coating range of 0.5-8g/m<2>. The sizing degree of a material to be recorded with the coated layer is necessarily in the range of 1-15sec. It is necessary that a silicon-containing pigment of 200m<2>/g or less specific surface area is used. In this manner, the problem of in-room image discoloring is eliminated, but for the enhancement of dye coloring properties the silicon-containing pigment is necessarily used in combination with aluminum oxide particles. By using the silicon-containing pigment of 10-200m<2>/g specific surface area by a BET method in combination with the aluminum oxide particles, the material to be recorded having more superior dye coloring properties is made available while holding a superior in room discoloring inhibiting effect. |
