The load plate has a carrier panel (2) and a number of supports (3) underneath. The carrier panel is assembled from two metal sheets which are each correspondingly provided with parts (8) protruding on one side distributed over the surface. These are formed by deformation out of the sheet material. The sheets are connected where two opposing protrusions meet (11). The protrusions can be semispherical in shape or be frusto-conical and are surrounded with an annular depression in the sheet with a groove shaped cross-section.
