PURPOSE:To enable shifting of a brake ring to axial direction at initial stage and to prevent damage of crack by making no load of a cylinder at the initial stage of pouring related to the compression to the brake ring between a feed tube fitting to the front nozzle and a mold. CONSTITUTION:The feed tube 3 fitting to the front nozzle 2 of a tundish 1 holds the brake ring 5 inserting between the tube 3 and the mold 4 by pulling- cylinders 12 fitted to the plural brackets 11. At the initial stage of pouring from the tundish 1, the oil hydraulic pressure of the cylinders 12 is made to no load, to make free of expansion of the brake ring 5 and prevent abnormal deformation. After that, the working oil is supplied to the cylinder 12, to fasten the brake ring 5. Therefore, the cracking damage of the brake ring 5 at the initial stage and during casting can be prevented.
