PURPOSE:To prevent a sensor from failing in detection due to the attenuation of a magnetic force and securely control the feed of a recording paper, by changing a magnetic field provided in a feeding passage for a recording paper provided with marks formed of a material containing a magnetic material, by the passage of the marks, and controlling the feeding of the paper according to an output signal from a magnetic field sensor detecting the variation in the magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A recording apparatus 1 comprises a magnet 5 and magnetic sensors 6, 6 oppositely provided in a feeding passage 4 for a recording paper 2 fed by a feeding mechanism. The paper 2 has a multiplicity of marks 8... printed in an ink of an appropriate color containing magnetic material powders of the same color at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction thereof, and is wound in a roll or folded in a predetermined folded length. The magnet 5 is constituted of a permanent magnet or the like, whereas magnetic sensors 6, 6 comprise of magnetoresistive reluctance elements or the like, and output a signal by detecting a variation in the magnetic field generated by the passage of the mark 8... through the magnetic field of the magnet 5. When the sensor 6, 6 is connected, a waveform is outputted, whereby the feed of the recording paper 2 can be controlled. |
