PURPOSE:To make the fluidness of a reheater drain system into smoothness and stableness as well as to simplify the constituent equipment and piping of a steam turbine plant by keeping internal pressure in a drain tank lower than that in a reheater. CONSTITUTION:Each drain of both first and second stages of reheaters 6 and 7 is recovered into a common drain tank 54 by way of each of reheater drain pipes 51 and 65 at both first and second stages. At this time, this drain tank 54 is connected with a high pressure second feedwater heater 12 and a vent pipe 63, while a pressure reducing orifice 64 is installed in this vent pipe 63 whereby internal pressure in the drain tank 54 is always kept in higher than that in the high pressure second feedwater heater 12. And internal pressure in the drain tank 54 is made to depend upon that in the high pressure second feedwater heater 12, whereby the internal pressure of the drain tank 54 is kept in lower than that in these reheaters 6 and 7. With this constitution, fluidness in a reheater drain system is made smooth and stable, and constituent equipment and piping both are simplified.
