The invention relates to scales fitted with a weighing platform 6, and with two weighing plate parts 4 and 5, which are hinged together in a central part of the scales by a linkage member 13 and a weighing element 15, a force being transmitted from the weighing plate parts 4, 5 to the weighing element through the linkage member 13. In order to improve the weighing precision, the linkage member 13 consists of a single elastic element forming a single body with the two weighing plate parts 4, 5.
