PURPOSE:To obtain a glass adhesion type magnetic head of high reliability adopting an amorphous metallic magnetic film (Co-Nb-Zr alloy) by using a low-melting point glass which prevents crystallization causing the magnetic reduction of an amorphous metal. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous metallic magnetic film 3 and an SiO2 film 4 are alternately laminated on surfaces of C type magnetic core 1 and an I type magnetic core 2 having W grooves, and a prescribed low-melting point crystalline glass 7 is put on surfaces of these cores and is heated to fill up W grooves. After W grooves are filled up with the glass, upper faces of W groove parts are ground and polished to prescribe a track width, and a gap dimensions prescribing SiO2 film 8 is formed, and W groove parts of magnetic cores 1 and 2 are allowed to face each other to adhere magnetic cores 1 and 2 by heating, and they are heated at 450 deg.C to crystallize the glass 9, and a magnetic core 10 is cut to complete magnetic core chips 11. This chip is inserted to a groove part 13 of a nonmagnetic ceramics slider 12, and a low-melting point amorphous glass 15 is put on a gap part 14 and is heated at 450 deg.C, and the slider is lapped after glass adhesion to complete a composite slider 16. Thus, the amorphous magnetic head of high reliability is produced.
