PURPOSE:To prevent a photosensitive body from being deteriorated due to the repeated collision of an active gas and to reduce the stagnating concentration of the active gas after stopping the main body of a device by forming a gap between a corona generating means and an original exposing means so as to form the center part narrower than both the end parts along the longitudinal direction of a corona discharge wire or close the center part. CONSTITUTION:The gap between a shielding plate of a primary charger 5 on the upstream side of a photosensitive body and a cleaner is closed by a 1st air flow regulating member 15 over the whole longitudinal direction of the corona discharge wire. The gap between the shielding plate of the primary charger 5 on the downstream side of a drum and an optical lens 7 and a member (image exposing part 27) for supporting the lens 7 is shielded by a 2nd air flow regulating means 16 over an approximately half e.g. of the wire length from the center in the longitudinal direction of the corona discharge wire. Thereby, the circulation of a corona wind is reduced or removed at the center part of the corona discharge wire in the longitudinal direction. Consequently, the photosensitive body can be prevented from being deteriorated due to the repeated collision of the active gas and the stagnating concentration of the active gas can be reduced.
