EXTRACTING DEVICE FOR OBJECT IMAGE

PURPOSE:To extract an object image at a high speed and with very high accuracy so long as a background image is unchanged by extracting an object image out of an input video signal based on a difference signal between the background image of an input video signal and the input video signal itself. CONSTITUTION:The video signal representing the background image is stored in a background memory 13 and the video signal of the stared background image is read synchronously with the input the video signal by a read means and the difference of the level between the video signal of the background image read out and the input video signal is subjected to calculation for each picture element by a background difference arithmetic means 14. The difference subjected to calculation is binarized by using a predetermined threshold value by a binarizing means 15 and the binarized difference is corrected by a profile correction means 17 to obtain a video extracting signal. Thus, the limit to the input video signal is relaxed to obtain an object image extracting device with wide applications.
