PURPOSE:To enable easy forming with a simple metal die by projectedly providing a holder body, with inclination, having a holding hole for column holding at a cover body which projectedly provides a holder for engaging to the inside of a steering column. CONSTITUTION:This column cover 1 consists of an upper side cover body 2 and a lower cover body 3 which are divided into the upper and the lower with synthetic resin respectively. The first holder 4 is set up at the middle portion inside the lower side cover body 3. The holder 4 is formed in such a way that a holder body 6 in a plate-like form which inclines from one side of an opening portion 5 formed at the lower side cover body 3 to the upside of the opening portion 5, and a circular holding hole 7 having an opening 8 for engagement at the upper portion in the holder body 6. The holding hole 7 is set as the uppermost part end 7b of the holding hole at an one side surface 6b of the holder body is located near the other side surface 6a with respect to a vertical plane which is based on the lowermost part end 7a of the holding hole at the other side surface 6a.
