PURPOSE:To obtain excellent adaptability to temp. and humidity, traveling property and durability by providing a layer contg. a specific perfluoroalkane sulfonic acid amide compd. on a thin ferromagnetic metallic film on a nonmagnetic base. CONSTITUTION:The layer contg. the perfluoroalkane sulfonic acid amide compd. expressed by the formula I is provided on the surface of the thin ferromagnetic metallic film formed by a method such as electroplating, electroless plating, vapor plating, sputtering, vapor deposition or ion plating on the base. In the formula I, Rf denotes a perfluoroalkyl group of 6-10C, R1 denotes a hydrocarbon group of 3-18C, R2 denotes H, (CH2CH2)nH, (CH2)mSO3M or hydrocarbon group of 1-18C, n is 1-20 integer, m is 2-4 integer, M is H, metal or ammoniums. The wear resistance to members such as magnetic heads and guide poles is thereby greatly improved under a wide range of temp. and humidity conditions and the coefft. of friction to traveling members is decreased; in addition, the still durability under low humidity is improved to a great extent. |
