PURPOSE:To record a signal with few drop-out by controlling a head moving means when the drop-out is detected to vibrate the magnetic head, thereafter, tracking it on an original track again and recording a recorded signal on the track. CONSTITUTION:At the time of recording a signal on a rotary magnetic recording body 28, when the drop-out is detected, the magnetic head 24 is vibrated to execute a recording again and the drop-out of the signal in the magnetic recording body is poor in a reproducibility and temporary frequently. When a foreign matter is rolled between the recording body 28 and the end of the head 24, the foreign matter is eliminated according to the vibrating operation. Thereby, the signal can be recorded with few drop-out.
