PURPOSE:To obtain stable electrical characteristics even when the size of a circuit is made larger by making it possible to suppress a waveguide mode occurring after the packaging of a microwave integrated circuit by means of a film resistor formed on a dielectric substrate and an absorber, or the like, disposed on a projecting part of a housing case or a projecting part of a metal cover. CONSTITUTION:A microwave signal inputted from an input/output metal pattern 10a is inputted into a semiconductor amplifying element la via a gold wire 13a and a metal pattern 4 for use as an input matching circuit, or the like, and is then amplified by the same element 1a. The microwave signal thus amplified is outputted from a pattern 10b via a gold wire 13d and a metal pattern 5 for use as an output matching circuit, or the like. At this time, a part of the microwave signal travels in space because of a waveguide mode. However, the signal thus traveling is absorbed by film resistors 6a-6c and 7a-7c formed on dielectric substrates 2 and 3 for use as input and output matching circuits, so that the waveguide mode is suppressed. The space closed by a metal plate 8 and a metal cover 15, or the like, acts as a resonator, whereby electrical characteristics are stabilized. |
