PURPOSE:To preform coordinate conversion on a recording device side and to perform recording by extracting graphic data from code data which indicates the record of a specific image, computing position coordinates of record positions, and performing the coordinate conversion. CONSTITUTION:A signal for recording the specific image is sent to an image supply device 21 from a host computer, a word processor, etc. Then, the code data is inputted through a control IF 38, a CPU 37 decodes the code data to generate intermediate codes suitable to image form processing, and the codes are stored in a RAM 43. When the intermediate codes include a conversion indication indicating the direction conversion of the image, an image handler 46 extracts graphic data, computes the position coordinates of the record positions, and performs coordinate arithmetic, thereby forming an image on a bit map memory 42. Thus, the coordinate conversion is performed on the side of the recording device to record the image. |
