<p>This is a special self-sterilising liquid for surgical and traumatological use. It is mainly used for the coverage of the skin of the part of the body that is to undergo surgery. The aim of the coverage is the greatest confinement of the surgical area as possible, in such a way as to have the material affixed to the skin during the whole operation and for only the surgical wound to be open. It has a similar use also in the changing of wound dressings: the wound is anointed and a gauze is placed on the wound, which holds the remaining dressing in place and therefore neither sticking plaster nor bandages are required. The liquid is made from Diethyl ether (CH3CH2OCH2CH3) and Chios mastic, in the ratio of: 300 cc.: 50 g.</p> |
