PURPOSE:To decrease the waiting time till the detection of an object address information by applying rapid acceleration and deceleration to a disk rive motor by a quantity in response to an angle while the turning angle of the disk drive motor required from a point to an object address in detecting a track including object information. CONSTITUTION:Suppose that a track 21 including an object address point O is finished at a point S, and the turning angle from the point S to the point O is theta, switch 5 is switched from a position (a) to a position (c) to give a maximum acceleration command 5a to a spindle motor 2 for acceleration. In reaching a midpoint M (theta/2), the switch is thrown from a position (c) to a position (b) to give a maximum deceleration command 5b to the spindle motor 2. Then the revolving speed of the motor 2 is before maximum acceleration, that is, a speed of point S (arriving at a point O'), the switch 5 is thrown to the position (a) being the initial state to apply conventional speed control.
