A brake anchor plate (2) for a part-lining disc brake, in particular for motor vehicles, has a fastening section (4) which extends on one side of a brake disc essentially parallel thereto and two brake anchor plate arms (40, 42) which overlap the edge of the brake disc and on which two brake linings arranged in each case on one side of the brake disc can be supported, as well as a connecting section (44) which connects the two brake anchor plate arms. In order to facilitate machining of the brake anchor plate, in particular of the support surfaces for the brake linings, and to avoid space problems with regard to the arrangement of the outer part of the brake housing, it is envisaged that the connecting section (44) is arranged in the axial direction at least partially in the region of the brake disc. <IMAGE>
