PURPOSE:To attain input of Roman characters with no discrimination of 'N' by switching automatically the conversion of the vowels or contracted sounds following 'N' into 'UNA', 'UNI', etc. or 'UNYA', 'UNYO' and 'UNYO'. CONSTITUTION:When 'ANI', for example, is inputted by a Roman character input means 1, the 'NI' is converted into 'NI' (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) and then into 'ANI' according to the Japanese rendering of KANA ('1' in a table by a Roman character/KANA (Japanese syllabary) converting means 2. Then the 'ANI' is converted into 'ANI', a KANJI (Chinese character). A KANA/KANJI conversion end signal generating means 7 informs with the end signal the end of a single KANA/KANJI converting action to the means 2. Thus the 'NI' is turned into 'UNI' (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) together with the 'ANI' turned into 'ANI' (cursive form) respectively by the means 2 in accordance with the Japanese rendering of KANA '2' in the table. Then 'ANI' (KANJI) is obtained by the means 3 and the dictionary 4.
