PURPOSE:To improve productivity of copying work by automatically setting a copying apparatus in a discharge mode if a copy sheet remains on an intermediate tray when a copy condition is initialized to conduct a new copying operation. CONSTITUTION:A discharge mode control portion of a control device comprises a paper existence/absence detecting sensor 62 mounted on an intermediate tray unit 345, a storage sensor 63 provided on a guide plate 339, a discharge sensor 64 and a sub-program. When the last copy sheet remains in the interior after the completion of copying, a paper passing mode is set. When a copy condition is initialized to conduct a new copying operation, as a copy sheet remains in the intermediate tray, a copying machine is automatically set in a discharge mode, so that the productivity of copying work can be improved without troubling a copying operator. |
