Apparatus dispensing a deodorising and disinfecting product precisely when the toilet is being used, characterised in that it comprises a reservoir (spray or other) which makes it possible to inject this product by means of a tube which passes under the lowered toilet seat. A spring keeps the toilet seat slightly raised when it is not being used, in order to make it possible, when a patient sits on the seat, to actuate a pin which presses on the valve and releases, at this very moment, the quantity of product limited by a metering device; the liquid is then injected into the bowl. It deodorises, it cleans and above all it projects foam on the bottom of the toilet to generate a protection layer which coats the materials and stops the odours. This device is intended to reduce almost entirely the odours of a toilet by its deodorising and cleansing action and by its enveloping foam. A metering device on the valve of the spray in the example chosen makes it possible to use only the required quantity of the product. <IMAGE>
