A glass construction unit according to the invention, such as for example in the form of a window wing, has a glass pane (38) which is preferably designed as an insulating glass pane and which is mounted in a circumferential frame which has a basic profile (1) and two functional profiles (20, 21). In this case, the basic profile (1) and the functional profiles (20 and 21) are designed as separate parts which can be interconnected via connecting devices (9 and 10).
