PURPOSE:To enable even a beginner, an old man, etc. to carry out a correct input operation without causing a time-out state with an input monitor, by setting the monitor time for input operation in response to the processing speed of the user. CONSTITUTION:A user pushes a key through an operating part 3 of an operating device 1 and the information on this push of the key is sent to a control part 2. Thus the part 2 performs the corresponding operation based on the received information. Then the user designates the prescribed transaction by means of digit keys 6 and starts the transaction. An input operation is carried out with use of keys 6 and then a 10,000yen/1,000yen key 7 is pushed together with a confirm key 8 and a cancel key 9 for completion of the transaction. Then a timer is started for measurement of the processing speed of the user after detecting whether the user started the transaction or not. The working of the timer is stopped with the next key push timing and the processing speed of the user is measured. Thus the timer is set in response to the processing speed of the user and according to the measurement result of the processing speed of the user. |
