<p>The apparatus comprises on the one hand, a flow channel (1) divided in three sections, namely an intake channel (4) for a liquid, a disposal channel (5) for the liquid, and a separator channel situated between the two first mentioned channels and, on the other hand, means (3),(7) for feeding the mixture to be separated to the separator channel, and means (2) for extracting one of the two separated fractions. Between the intake channel (4) and the disposal channel (5), there is a tank (10) having a flat bottom joined by an inclined plate to an external lateral wall of the separator channel. The means for extracting a first heavier fraction collected at the bottom of the separator channel is constituted by an elevator wheel (2) with buckets (13) situated above the flat bottom of the tank (10) and delivering this fraction on to a disposal device (14). A second lighter fraction is recovered in a draining device (15) above which the discharge end of disposal channel (5) is located. The first fraction to be recovered may be glass in cullet. <IMAGE></p> |
