Hygienic adsorption receivers such as sanitary towels, nappies, patient underlays or wound dressings comprise an absorbent pad which has a liquid-permeable cover film on one side and a liquid-impermeable garment-protecting film on the other side, the garment-protecting film also engaging around the longitudinal sides of the absorbent pad. In order to ensure that the garment-protecting film is always inserted precisely symmetrically, it is proposed to produce the liquid-permeable cover film and the liquid-impermeable garment-protecting film from a single combined film piece (7) having at least one permeable zone (8) and at least one adjoining impermeable zone (9). The film piece may in this case consist of a nonwoven fabric which is initially porous over its entire surface area and is then sealed in a suitable manner at the subsequently liquid-impermeable points, for example by sticking on or ironing on a film strip, sealing with suitable water-insoluble resins or polymers, or the film piece may consist of thermoplastic nonwoven fabric which is compacted in the region of the liquid-impermeable zone or zones by hot pressing or hot rolling. <IMAGE> |
