In the case of the method for determining the hit position on a target which is being fired at by a weapon system, the time stagger of the arrival of the pressure wave, or its sound front (which is initiated by the attacking means in the form of a projectile (round) or the like) at acoustic sensors in a different arrangement is used as a parameter for a mathematical calculation. In this case, a predetermined number of sensors are arranged as required with respect to the target and their three-dimensional orientation with respect to a reference point on the target is then measured and their coordinates in the X-Y-Z coordinate system are used as mathematical values for calculating the hit position. |
