PURPOSE:To carve in relief the correct shape without any bridge of the same pattern as metallic layer on the surface of the material to be worked by laminating the metallic layer of the prescribed pattern on the base film of a mask sheet. CONSTITUTION:A mask sheet M is formed by laminating integrally the metallic layer 2 of electrolytic metal on the base film 1 of such corrosion resistant material as not being corroded by an etching. The metallic layer 2 of the prescribed pattern is formed on the mask sheet M by removing with corrosion the metallic layer 2 of the part not being covered by a resist film 3 with dipping into an etching treatment liquid the resist film 2 of the prescribed pattern after forming it on the surface of this mask sheet M. This mask sheet M is then placed into close contact on the surface of the material 4 to be worked and a laser beam L is irradiated on the whole surface by converging it with a lens 5 from thereon. The laser beam L evaporates only the resist film 3 of the mask sheet M which is cut off by the metallic layer 2, but engraves a recessed part 6 on the surface of the material 4 to be worked by passing through on the part where the base film 1 is exposed and carves in relief the same pattern as that of the metallic layer 2. |
