PURPOSE:To heighten the controlling accuracy to a room temperature and to prevent external disturbance, by converting an analog signal detected by a room temperature sensor into a binary signal by a comparator, and by controlling the number of revolution of a motor for air conditioning by a step signal corresponding to the number of conversion of a binary signal. CONSTITUTION:A room temperature is detected by a sensor 1. Its analog signal is compared with a set temperature by a comparator 2 and is converted into a binary digital signal. The binary signal is fed into a step signal generator 3, where the number of times the binary signal is converted within a predetermined time is counted. The stepped signals corresponding to the counted value is generated after a predetermined time taking a transitional period into consideration. The step signals are fed into a controlling circuit for the motor 4 for air conditioning. The number of revolution of a motor 4 is controlled corresponding to the number of step signals, and the room temperature is set and controlled. As a result a room can be maintained in a desired good environment.
