PURPOSE:To obtain the back-coating material capable of utilizing an UV-curing method and of easily curing a film in an air without the curing inhibition by oxygen, by incorporating an antistatic agent, a lubricant and a compd. capable of generating a Lewis acid by irradiating a light to an epoxy resin having at least two of the epoxy groups in a molecular. CONSTITUTION:The epoxy resin having at least two of epoxy groups in the molecular comprises a glycidyl ether of aromatic phenol such as 2,2'-bis(P- hydroxy phenyl) propane. The epoxy resin may be used independently or in a combination thereof. The antistatic agent comprises a solid antistatic agent usable to an ordinary magnetic recording tape, such as a carbon black. The compounding amount of the antistatic agent is preferably added 5-50pts.wt. to the epoxy resin from the antistatic effect of the cured material point of view. In such a way that the surface resistance of the titled back-coating mate rial makes <=10<12>OMEGA/square. The dispersion of the antistatic agent to the epoxy resin is ordinally performed by a roll kneader and a sand mill.
