Thermoplastic film-forming compsn. comprises (a) a copolymer of propylene and ethylene with a propylene content of 95-99.75wt% and (b) 41-90wt% ont otal compsn. of a polymer of a 4-10C alpha-olefin copolymerised with 0-10wt% on wt. of copolymer of a 2-10 alpha-olefin. Films formed from the compsn. have excellent heat sealing properties and are esp. useful for application as coating layers onto substrate foils such as polypropylene film.
