LIGHT IRRADIATION APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To interrupt effectively heat rays without diminishing the output of ultraviolet rays and to eliminate the heat deterioration of a filter by blowing gas on the outside surface of a heat rays interrupting filter opposed to a discharge lamp and thereby cooling forcedly the filter. CONSTITUTION:Heat rays and visible light are interrupted via a heat rays interrupting filter 3 by passing the light irradiated from a discharge lamp 2 through the filter 3 and only ultraviolet rays are irradiated forward to irradiate the material to be irradiated and the material is dried. Air is blown on the filter 3 from a nozzle 5l constituting one part of a means cooling forcedly the filter 3 cool forcedly the filter 3. Therefore even if the film thickness is not made thick, namely the irradiated amount of heat rays irradiated forward can be diminished without bringing with the diminution of irradiation output of ultraviolet rays.
