PURPOSE:To obtain vivid pictures by outputting a video signal in a peripheral picture element, where a new and correct video signal is stored, as the video signal of a noticed picture element if old or erroneous video signals are stored in a field memory. CONSTITUTION:When the high speed search mode is selected and video signals are picked up from a tape by a head, video signals are written in a field memory 13. Stored video signals are read out from the memory 13 in the order of address number, and error flags from an error flag memory 20 are given to an error flag extracting circuit 60, and new/old flags from a new/old flag memory 30 are given to a new/old flag extracting circuit 80, and flags are set to ''1'' immediately, and read-out video signals are sent to a correcting circuit 90. In this circuit 90, a selecting command circuit 91 determines one of stored video signals Sa-Si as the video signal of the noticed picture element on a basis of flag numbers NOa-NOi and sends a command signal to a video signal selecting circuit 92, and the circuit 92 supplies the selected video signal to a D/A converting circuit. |
