The indicator light circuit includes an RC circuit together with a NAND gate formed from two switching devices. A switching circuit consists of transistors. Indirect control of the transistors of the switching circuit, for a period controlled by the RC circuit, maintains the indicator lights in the operating state. A resistance for connection to earth is situated in the RC circuit, and is controlled by an earthing switch. This is t in turn is controlled by the shaft of a tachometer driven by the vehicle's transmission. The frequency of switching of the earthing switch is dependent on the speed of the vehicle, and hence the constant is controlled.
