PURPOSE:To remove the sag of an ink sheet by rotatably mounting a tension roller to a holder, to which a recording means is fitted, while holding the recording means. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 9 is installed under the state in which a draft- base cover 17 is opened and the draft-base cover is closed, a platen roller 4 is inserted from an opening section 9e for the cassette 9, and pushed against a thermal head 3 through recording paper 5 and an ink sheet 1, and the thermal head 3 is pushed upward against the tensile force of a spring 15. The ink sheet is bent to a Chevron shape using the platen roller 4 as an apex from tension rollers 37, 37 sections, and sag is removed. The tension rollers 37, 37 are not brought into contact with the ink sheet 1 under the state in which the draft- base cover 17 is opened, and it is preferble that the tension rollers are brought to the state in which they are brought slightly into contact with it. |
