摘要

PURPOSE:To continuously perform high quality reciprocal recording, by using a multi-strike thermal transfer ink ribbon as a thermal transfer ink ribbon and performing the thermal transfer recording of plural lines on the basis of the length corresponding to one line thereof while renewing the ink ribbon at every length of one line by a renewed control signal. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon is pressed to recording paper 2 while the heat generation resistor of a thermal head 9 is selectively driven to generate heat and the thermal head 9 is moved to the side of a platen 1 to allow a carriage to reciprocally move in the direction shown by the double arrow X. The platen 1 is intermittently driven to the direction shown by the arrow Y at every recording of one line to renew one line. The ink ribbon 13 is renewed by the renewal control signal from an ink ribbon renewal control circuit 14 and a reel 12 is rotated to the direction shown by the arrow R by the driving signal from a wind-up reel driving circuit 18 to wind up one line to renew the same. A value requiring renewal is preset to the signal applied to the ink ribbon renewal control circuit 14 and one line is automatically renewed when either one of the signals exceeds said value.
