A colour television receiving arrangement contains a colour correction circuit (14) for restoring the signal shape of the scanned video signal lost during the transmission. For this purpose, signal emphasising circuits (12, 13), which emphasise the amplitude of the signal (Y) transferred by the signal emphasising circuits by a predetermined factor in a predetermined frequency range in accordance with a control signal, are connected in front of or after the colour matrix circuits (7, 8, 9). The signal emphasising circuits are controlled by a colour detector circuit (19) which generates output signals (Sr, Sb, Sm) for desired colours if the colour vectors generated by the colour difference signals (R-Y, B-Y) are within predetermined vector fields of the colour vector diagram. <IMAGE>
