An air-distribution device for motor vehicles has a hollow control drum 6 which is rotatably arranged in a cylindrical housing 2 and is provided with openings 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 both in its circumferential wall and in its end walls 17, 18, which openings can be moved into contact with corresponding first through-holes 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 in the housing. The interior of the control drum 6 is connected via at least one of the openings 21, 22, 23 in the circumferential wall of the control drum and a second through-hole 11a, 11b or 11c which interacts therewith to a chamber 3 which is fed fresh air or conditioned air. The first through-holes 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 are connected by air lines to air outlet openings which are provided at different points in the interior of the vehicle. The openings and the through-holes are arranged in relation to one another in such a way that by rotating the control drum the desired air distribution is achieved in that individual through-holes or groups of through-holes are exposed completely or partially and others are closed completely or partially. <IMAGE> |
