PURPOSE:To display information by a finder image and to simplify the structure of the finder optical system of an electronic camera by arranging a prism for information on the 2nd prism of the pentagonal prism of a finder. CONSTITUTION:A light beam E which is passed through a photographic lens and reflected by a reflecting mirror is incident on the pentagonal prism P through a focusing screen 503. The pentagonal prism P consists of the 1st prism 10 and the 2nd prism 11. Then, the light beam E is reflected by reflecting surfaces of the 1st and the 2nd prisms 10 and 11 and projected from a reflecting surface S6 to reach an ocular lens. Further, the prism 502 for information is arranged on the incidence surface S'1 of the 1st prism 10 to make information incident on the reflecting surface S'1 slantingly, and consequently various pieces of information are displayed near an information image through the finder. Thus, the information prism 502 is arranged on the 1st prism 10, so the finder has the high visual field rate and is reduced in size.
