<p>The chair comprises a frame (1) on which is mounted a main seat (9) and a back comprising a top portion (2) and a bottom portion (4) hinged together by means of an articulation (5), the assembly being hinged around an articulation (3) on the frame (1). The chair also comprises an additional seat (12) mounted hinged on the frame by means of a double articulation (13, 15). When it is desired to convert the chair into a bed, the main seat (9) is raised and the back is pulled, folding at the articulation (5). It is then possible to bring the back assembly above the upper level of the frame (1), to align the parts (2) and (4) and to fold over the assembly thus formed, the end of the part (4) then bearing on the frame of the previous chair in order to form a bed. The additional seat can moreover pivot about the articulations (13) and (15) and form a horizontal plane at the rear of the chair and form a lower bed in combination with the main seat (9). <IMAGE></p> |
