PURPOSE:To heighten the accuracy of a machined form, by providing minutely displacing elements in combination with form machining feed motors, and utilizing numerical control signals for the motors to drive the minutely displacing elements. CONSTITUTION:Electrostrictive elements 13, 14 for displacing a guide 2 are provided. Signals, which are applied to motors 9, 10 from a numerical controller 11, are subjected to conversions and amplifications 15, 16 to produce other signals which are applied to the electrostrictive elements 13, 14 to drive them, respectively. Since the dimensions of the elements 13, 14 are increased by the impression of voltage, the displaced quantities of the guide 2 are controlled. As a result, machining is performed as the axis of an electrode 1 is almost coincident with that of the guide 2, so that the accuracy of a machined form such as that of a corner is heightened. |
