PURPOSE:A colorless polyamide, obtained by reacting an aminocarboxylic acid with a dicarboxylic acid and a polyoxyalkylene glycol in the presence of a tetraalkyl titanate as a catalyst, and having a high polymerization degree. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide obtained by mixing a >=10C aminocarboxylic acid, e.g. 11-aminoundecanoic acid, with a 4-20C dicarboxylic acid, e.g. terephthalic acid, and a polyoxyalkylene glycol, e.g. polytetramethylene glycol having 200- 6,000 number-average molecular weight to give 5-90wt% polyalkylene glycol in the whole components, and polycondensing the components in the presence of a tetraalkyl titanete, e.g. tetramethyl titanate, expressed by the formula Ti(OR)4 in an amount of 0.0001-0.00999wt% based on the reaction mixture under <=5mm. Hg vacuum degree at 200-300 deg.C.
