PURPOSE:To cure a protective film in short time and to prevent corrosion of a recording medium film by specifying the compsn. of the protective film coating the recording medium film. CONSTITUTION:A protective film 3 coating a recording medium film 2 consists of the cured matter of a resin compsn. contg. an epoxy resin, org. aluminum compd. and silicon compd. which generates a silanol group when irradiated with UV rays. The time for irradiation of UV rays is preferably 20sec-1min. Then the silicon compd. plays the role of a photoinitiator and the org. aluminum compd. plays the role of an auxiliary catalyst. The silanol generated when UV rays are irradiated initiates ring opening polymn. of the epoxy resin and cures the lacquer curable by UV rays. Generation of Lewis acid by the protective film in the process for producing said film is thus obviated and therefore the optical disc having high quality provided with the protective film without corroding the recording medium film on the base plate by the Lewis acid is thus obtd. |
