PURPOSE:To ensure sufficient magnetic flux density near the surface of a developing sleeve and to reduce the structure in size and weight, by laminating a magnet layer on a ferromagnetic material layer. CONSTITUTION:A developing sleeve for conveying a one-component type toner as a developer is composed of a dielectric layer 6, a ferromagnetic material layer 7, a magnet layer 8 magnetized at a specified pitch, a float electrode layer 9, etc. laminated on the conductive base. Magnetic force lines are short-circuited by the layer 7, the lines in the layer 8 are made perpendicular to the surrounding surface of the layer 8, the lines reach the region isolated from the surrounding surfaces of the layer 8 to ensure sufficient magnetic flux density near the developing sleeve. As a result, developer conveying force is raised, and the developer conveying member can be reduced in size and weight. |
