A function generator comprises a multiturn potentiometer 4 defining the required law, energized differentially from stabilized variable power supplies 15 to produce voltages connected to utilization circuits over buffer circuits 7. The potentiometer is driven over speed reducing gear 5 from splitpole permanent magnet motor, and has limiting or reversing contacts 6. A transistorized relaxation oscillatory clock timebase 2 energizes decade frequency dividers 3 selectable by range control 8 to drive pulse shaper 9, exciting gate 12 also receiving the output of zero reset oscillator 13, which energizes the motor over electronic changeover switches 14. Indicator 11 shows the operational state. The potentiometer may be linear, and the non- linear output produced by varying the clock frequency according to the required law.</p> |
