PURPOSE:To prevent the color fading and chalking of recorded pictures by providing a thermal color-forming layer with a developer composed of a leuco dye, dimethyl 4-hydroxy phthalate, and a bisphenol derivative to be represented by a specific chemical formula. CONSTITUTION:A paint liquid for forming a thermal layer, containing a leuco dye, dimethyl 4-hydroxy phthalate, and a bisphenol derivative of the formula (where X is a halogen, Y is -SO2- or -CCH3)2-, n is 1 or 2, and X to combine with two benzene rings is in a specific positional relation to Y, is prepared. The paint liquid is coated on an adequate supporter such as paper, synthetic paper, plastic films, etc., and dried to manufacture a thermal recording material. In the thermal recording material, color fading and whitening of recorded pictures are much lesser than the conventional ones. |
