PURPOSE:To convert a composite video signal of interlaced scanning system into a video signal of sequential scanning system through a simple circuit, by giving said composite video signal to two delay elements connected in series. CONSTITUTION:A composite video signal ICS is applied successively to field memories 2a and 2b which serve as delay elements to give a delay equivalent to 1V respectively. The input of the memory 2a is added 9 to the output of the memory 2b and given to an interpolation signal generator 11. At the same time, a subtraction is carried out between both signals and these subtracted signals are applied to a movement detector 15. The output of the memory 2a is applied to a Y/C separator 7 and separated into luminance and chrominance signals based on the correlative relation between scan lines. This separated luminance signal is applied to a time axis converter 16 together with an interpolation luminance signal from the generator 11. A luminance signal of sequential scanning system is obtained from the output of the converter 16. Thus a video signal of interlaced scanning system can be converted into a video signal of sequential scanning system through a simple circuit. |
