KNOCKING CONTROLLER FOR INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To prevent each cylinder from knocking even when there is a defference in the occurrance of knocking among cylinders, by storing and holding a finding result of knocking against each of cylinders according to a specified timing signal at every cylinder, while making it reflect on the control of ignition timing in corresponding cylinders. CONSTITUTION:A knocking vibration in each of cylinders in a multicylinder internal-combustion engine VI is detected by a knocking detctor I . Knocking output of the knocking detector is compared with a reference value by a knocking discrimination device II and a fact of whether there is knocking or not is discriminated. This discrimination result is stored in a memory III according to a signal out of a specified timing signal generating device IV at every cylinder. An ignition control device V controls each ignition timing at every cylinder according to the knocking result of each cylinder being stored and held in the memory device III. With this constitution, ignition timing is properly controlled in this way.
