PURPOSE:To prevent the stray current corrosion of a sealed type bearing for rolling stock by installing a terminal for earthing through a small-size ball-and- roller bearing on the center of a front cover fixed to an axle and earthing a leakage current through a route of said front cover and axle. CONSTITUTION:An earthing terminal 11 is fitted to and supported by the center of a front cover 7 fixed to the shaft end of an axle 6 through a ball-and-roller bearing such as a ball bearing, etc. by means of a bolt 8, electrically connecting a bogie frame 1 and the earthing terminal 11 through a conductive member 12. As a result, a leakage current, which flows from an electric locomotive, an electric motor passenger car, etc. to a freight car, an electric motor passenger car, etc. through a coupler, can be earthed from a bogie 1 or a saddle 2 through a route of the conductive member 12, earthing terminal 11, ball-and-roller bearing 10, front cover 7, and axle 6. Accordingly, a leakage current can be prevented from flowing in a sealed type bearing for axle. |
